What is your salary day?

Your salary day is one of the most important variables in the app. It represents the exact day of the month your salary enters your account.

Why is it important?

We need your salary day in order for the application to better understand your transactions. We believe it's easier for you to understand a month as the period of time in between your salary dates.

Therefore, your transactions will be grouped in months, and every month will start on the day of your salary.

For example, if we take 5th as your salary day, your transaction months will be calculated like this:


January
• from 05^th of January until 04^th of February
February
• from 05^th of February until 04^th of March
and so on...



However, you can also have your months calculated just as the calendar ones if this is what you want. For this, just set your salary day on the 1st of the month.

If your salary doesn't enter your account regularly, on a monthly bases, or if you get it weekly, yearly or any other type of non-monthly payment, set the salary day to the 1st of the month. The app is dividing your finances into months, so only monthly paid salary works here.

How to change it?

The salary is firstly being set at the creation of your account.
However, it is also editable afterwards from your user settings in the app (Settings -> Edit transactions settings -> Edit your salary day).
